Windows 10: How to restart Microsoft Edge WebView 2 Process ?

Is there any process that can be restarted which is part of the "Microsoft Edge WebView 2" via Tasķ Manager ?

Hi AquariusCamus,

Community is just a user to user forum we are not Microsoft Employees.

Microsoft upgraded many of their apps to include the UI components that are provide by the WebView2 component, that is why I said it is a necessary component.

There is no known method, setting or even a registry hack to stop that component downloading in the Windows Updates process.

It is very unusual for Webview to be causing system crashes, I have never seen that before, it is not a known bug with WebView.

  Open task manager right click on Microsoft Edge and go to details click on microsoftedgeCP.exe and click end task
