If Printer Properties Are Greyed Out, This Website Can Help Restore Them!

Dear Microsoft Answers,

I noticed that after my Windows 10 Update to Threshold 2 Build 1511 that I could no longer disable Mopier Mode on my printer. Mopier Mode is a default setting on many HP printers that when selected, allows the printer to print only one copy at a time.
This website provides the easiest fix to changing your Printer Properties so that they are not greyed out, and can be accessed again: It worked for me.

Restoring Greyed Out Printer Properties

If this link does not work, the steps below are what you can do to resolve this:

1.) Go to Printers

2.) Select Printer Properties

3.) in the General Tab, find and click “Change Properties", in the bottom left corner.
The Printer Properties box will close and reopen with administrator privileges.

4.) Click on the Advanced or Port Tab, and you will be able to make changes.

5.) Click OK to Save your changes.

printer sever properties

my pc has been running slower lately so I used my recovery usb to restore windows, it worked all ok, it set up as a local

account, I installed my Kaspersky security and my hp printer and then checked in printer properties / security and the

unknown account was gone. I then set up my Microsoft account and then checked in printer properties and the

unknown account was still omitted. so its all ok now, thanks for your help.
