Windows 10: How to restore the entire backup file from iTunes to get saved text messages back?...

I use iTunes as primary backup method and my text messages are saved along with the other phone contents. However, I need help to extract and restore the entire backup file from iTunes to get saved messages back.I tried Following from Gina Barrow, Last updated: January 14, 2023 but cannot find list of files and folders with long names. You can automatically save your SMS and MMS messages to the cloud. That way, the next time you get a new Windows Phone, you can restore them all when you set up the phone. When you delete your messages from your phone, they'll be deleted from the cloud as
well, so you're always in sync.

To turn text message backup on or off

1.

In the App list, tap Settings Settings icon > Backup.

Tap Text messages, then turn Text message backup on or off.



Note

Turning off backup will not delete previously saved messages. To delete messages from the cloud, you'll need to turn on backup and delete the messages from your phone

After you reset your phone and entered your Microsoft Account and continued with the restoration of your backup, it would have restored all your text messages that were backed up, there's no way to retrieve them as they must not be saved in Skydrive. The
only reason I can think of if they were already deleted on the phone, this would delete from the cloud.
