Windows 10: How to restrict non-admin users to access This PC app and CMD and powershell

i want to know how can i restrict non-admin users to access This PC app, CMD and powershell. This query is specific to Windows server 2019 and newer versions.Also i want to allot specific storage limit to each users non-admin users.

Restrict non-admin user from accessing one of his own folders (but allow his app to access)

Hi all,

Let's say a Windows computer has 2 users:

• Admin user
  
• Non-admin user
  

In the non-admin user account:

• There is an app that reads and writes to his Videos folder
  
• However, the non-admin himself cannot access (read, write or delete) that same folder
  

May I know if the admin can make such an arrangement?

I did all items you listed.

After reboot, running CMD and powershell (admin) had the same result ("no app associated"). So I turned the feature off in taskbar settings.

As has been said above, 'Elevated' just means that it has been 'run as administrator' and has the permissions that go with that.


If you want to switch a Powershell window to being a Command prompt, just type CMD and hit the Enter key. When you want to switch back type EXIT. It works the other way too, you can equally well type Powershell in a Command Prompt window to switch it to Powershell.
