Windows 10: How to retrieve files missing from cut-paste-undo action?

I cut one excel file from desktop and paste it into OneDrive local folder.While the pasted files showing the synchronising status, I noticed that I had clicked more than one file, then I pressed Ctrl+Z to undo the action so that I can go back to desktop and click only one file that I want to transfer into OneDrive folder.I went back to desktop to repeat the cut-paste process but only to notice all three files not in the location.I have checked the laptop & OneDrive recycle bin, but still couldn’t find it.Anyone can advice on where or how do I retrieve the file back? Thank you.

Files gone after cut/paste then undo (control+z)

I seem to have lost my files after doing the following steps. Is there a way for me to find the files?

• I created a new folder in "Pictures" called "MomsPhone" C:\Users\willj\Pictures\MomsPhone
• I selected the picture files from the android phone's DCIM folder, right clicked and chose "Cut"
• Right clicked in the "MomsPhone" folder and chose "Paste"
• In the "Pictures" directory, pressed control+z (undo)

After the above the "MomsPhone" directory is gone, the only folder in "Pictures" that was created today is "New folder" which is empty. The files from the original device (pictures from android phone's DCIM folder) are also gone (result of the cut/paste)

yesterday, I cut some of the files and paste into the new folder on my desktop during updating my windows 10. later I noticed some icons were missing on my desktop, then I undo paste and keep undoing later I found some files were missing I tried everything
but couldn't found them. those were very important files. kindly help me need your suggestions

• Are you trying to cut and paste a folder from an external device?
  
• Do you have any other User accounts on the computer? Did you check the files in other User accounts if any?
  
• Was there any interruption during the cut and paste process?
  
• If the cut and paste process was interrupted, did you receive any error code or error message?
  

I suggest you to check the missing files in the Recycle Bin and try recovering the files. You can also try manually searching the files by entering the file name in the search bar.
