    How to revert partially downloaded file icon .crdownload back to the default one?


    I accidentally did the 'always open with' thing on a file in the midst of downloading and now all files being downloaded carry the Notepad icon until completion.


    How do I prevent downloading files from using the Notepad icon and get them back to using the default icon?

    How to get back default icons?

    Shortcut Arrow - Change, Remove, or Restore - Windows 7 Help Forums

    Try downloading the zip file provided there. You can follow the instruction to remove the little folder on your shortcuts, but then of course you won't know what icons are shortcuts, and which are real files. The part you probably want, is the reg file to restore the default arrow, apply that, and it should change them back to the regular arrows.

    Now, as for the folder icon:
    Right-Click the Folder > Properties > Go to Customize Tab > Click the Restore Default Button > Finally, Click the Apply Button...

    Unfortunately, you will have to do this with every folder, I don't know of a way to do it to all folders at once.

    Start menu default internet acces icon screwed?

    Hey guys I need your help fixing the default access icon on the start menu, as far as google searches suggested default user access and all it only fixes the IE icon, but when I chose fire fox to display it's just a globe when clicked on it still displays IE's properties but doesn't start firefox instead. Help please? *Respect :respect:*Cry :cry:

    BTW it was not like this before, I just wanted a clean install for my browser.
