    How to run Driver Verifier?


    Hello everyone,My laptop is doing bad right now. It has been a long time that my pc has had issues with blue screens. I tried to reset it but it didn't fix the problem. I tried to run WhoCrashed to analyse the dumpfiles and most can be related to driver bugs. I want to run driver verifier to see if it can find anything. But I'm a bit scared, I don't want to mess everything up. Can you help me on what option to choose and all steps. Thank youCordially.

    Running driver verifier for BSOD

    Hi Vivek

    I am Dave, I will help you with this.

    Click your Start Button, then just type cmd and on the resulting list, right click Command Prompt and choose 'Run as Administrator'

    That is running an elevated Command Prompt

    To start Verifier, in the command prompt type Verifier and press enter to open the Verifier utility

    To turn off Driver Verifier, run these two commands on Command Prompt:

    verifier /reset

    verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail

    From what I gather the methodology is to run driver varifier to try and get any "bad" drivers to crash my system. Is this correct? What would be the next step after driver verifier crashes my system?

    Thanks for any elaboration.

    How to run Driver Verifier?

     DRIVER VERIFIER

    Disable driver verifier and upload a new zip after another crash has occured, assuming another crash occurs.

    To disable driver verifier:

    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Enter "verifier/reset" (without quotes)
