Windows 10: How to save directions in Microsoft Maps ?

Look, if it is simply not possible to save a set of directions road trip! in Maps, just say so... I've seen the question posted several times, but never a response. I have to believe the Maps program allows you to save a set of directions, but heck if I can find it!

Unable to Save Favorites in Maps app

To assist you better help us with the information below.

Computer

• What is the make and model of your Computer?
• Have you installed all the pending updates on your computer?
• Which Windows 10 build is installed on the computer?
• What happens when you try to save the favorites?
  
• Do you get any error message or code?

At first you have to sign in using a Microsoft account, if you have not logged the saved favorite’s will be not be visible next time when you open Map app.Also make sure Date, Time and Region are
set correctly.

Suggest you to follow below steps to save your favorite location on you Maps app on your computer.

• Open Map App, Search for the location.
• On the left pane Click on the Star Icon to save your favorite place.

If you are still unable to save favorites on your computer follow the below methods.

Method 1: I suggest you to run Windows Store apps troubleshooter from the below Microsoft Help Article and check if it helps.

• Make sure Date, Time and Region are set correctly, try to restart your phone and check if will be able to Save the Favorite location.
• Also check if there are any update available for this from Store>Menu>Downloads and updates>Check for updates.

Microsoft Live Search Maps Launches Photo-Realistic 3D Imagery

Microsoft Live Search Maps will today begin offering three-dimensional, photo-realistic views of New York City buildings and landscapes, with perspectives that few people — apart from Superman — have ever seen. The free online service will provide a unique look at many of New York’s iconic locations, along with local listings, ratings and reviews and driving directions to help people easily find, discover, plan and share relevant location information that is important to them on the Web.


The 3-D imagery of New York City will debut along with similar aerial perspectives of several other Canadian, U.K. and U.S. cities, with many more cities worldwide expected to be available by the end of summer. The Live Search Maps 3-D New York cityscape provides the following:

• Landmarks, locations. Aerial views of Times Square, Central Park, Wall Street, Rockefeller Plaza and dozens of other famous spots
• Business listings. Yellow Pages listings, location and contact information, consumer ratings and reviews for New York City businesses
• Maps and driving directions. Real-time traffic incident and driving directions incorporated into maps
• Custom Collections. Custom maps and lists of places that people can create for their own use or to share with others

In addition, Microsoft will launch 3-D cityscapes of the following:

- Austin, Texas
- Cape Coral, Fla.
- Cincinnati, Ohio
- Indianapolis, Ind., including the Indianapolis Motor Speedway
- Northampton, England
- Ottawa
- Savannah, Ga.
- Tampa, Fla.

Let me clarify - I wasn't referring to turn-by-turn voice directions. I was referring to the actual North/South/East/West directions within the text of the navigation instructions provided on the screen when using the maps app. Windows Phone 7 provided this
information within the maps step-by-step instructions but Windows Phone 8 does not.



For instance, when going onto a freeway, Windows Phone 8 will typically have something like "Enter 101 Freeway" rather than "Enter 101 Freeway *NORTH* to San Jose".
