Hi! Searching in Windows 11 Explorer looks pretty tricky and unpredictable to me. I would love to take control, fully understand what the box is doing, and be able to check that what I'm getting is what I expect to get. At least, initially, with the contents of just one folder.My workflow involves boxes running many different OSes, with a Windows 11 desktop used as a utility knife to receive and edit data and files in many formats and store them in several external systems. Windows 10 search is not searching for file contents in OneDrive folder

In this scenario, we would suggest you to perform these steps and check Windows 10 search is able to search the file in OneDrive folder.

1. Press Windows + I key to launch
   Windows Settings.
   
2. Select Cortana and click
   Permissions & History from the left pane.
   
3. Toggle the Windows Cloud Search switch to
   On, which present under Cloud Search.
   
4. Restart the page and then initiate Windows Search.

How to make a Uber Hidden Folder

yeah but if you search within windows search can u still be able to find files you put in it like say porn or somthing like that. that you can hide from the g/f or wife lol

 

Disappearing folder

I've encountered a strange problem in windows 10 where I tried to delete a file in a folder, but ended up deleting the whole directory. It did so without the usual pop-up to confirm delete or say it was too big for the recycle bin. It was my Videos folder, so pretty big, but the disk allocation has also remained the same.

I've always had a problem with 'double icons' for the different user folders, including videos, and so I'm thinking it could have something to do with the whole thing, especially as now one of the two video folders has disappeared from the users folders.

The first thing i tried was 'Undo delete', but it just bought the folder back with non of the contents. Then, I went straight to Recuva, but it came up blank (there must have been over 50 videos in the folder)

I'm at a little bit of a loss as where to start looking for this disappeared folder and was hoping someone might have some suggestions?
