  1. How to search for files in File Explorer with "1" at the end of the file name?

So I'm trying to clean some duplicates out of my image folders, ones that go like this:IMG_1234.jpgIMG_1234 1.jpgWhere the second one is clearly a duplicate of the first. But because there are so many folders and hundreds of images, doing so manually is basically out of the question. Whenever I try to search for 1 in File Explorer, it shows me every single file that has a "1" in it i.e. ignoring the parentheses. How do I search File Explorer for all files that contain "1" at the end of the file name?Note: I tried the advice in the below thread, and it didn't work i.e. putting "filename

    :)

you get the idea. ( too lazy to put it in a for loop and test it.

or just open regedit and remove all the fileX from that key.

Search for Missing files in File Explorer

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are looking for a file named “Class” with the length of the file. However, currently File Explorer doesn’t have the option to search the files using the length.

You can follow the steps mentioned below to search for a file in File Explorer using the Size, Kind of file and other options.

    1. Press and hold Windows key + E to open
      File Explorer.
    2. Click on This PC on the left pane.
    3. Press F3 key to open Search options.
    4. You can select the Size,
      Kind
of file and other options and then, search for the file.

    Hope it helps.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.

How to search for files in File Explorer with "1" at the end of the file name?

Search for Missing files in File Explorer

Thank you, but I ended up doing it manually, and there were some I couldn't find. It just seems odd that since sometimes the file length in time is displayed (I'm not sure what magic makes it show sometimes and sometimes not when I'm generally doing the
same thing) that Explorer can't sort that way.
