  1. How to see actual apps that are taking up storage?

I only have 70 gb left in storage for my local disk and when I checked system > storage it says that 282 gb of storage is taken up by my installed apps but when I click on the apps and sort it by largest to smallest, the biggest ones that take up storage are Premiere Pro and Photoshop which only take 3 gb each. The rest of the apps I have installed don't even pass 1 gb and I highly doubt that they all combine to equal 282 gb. So I am just wondering how can I actually see what is taking up all the storage or is this really the entire extensive list?

    :)

  2. Storage Problem

    Hi,

It's possible that the 346GB of space that you're seeing under the Apps & games window refers to the available space of the selected drive and not the actual usage. To confirm this information, we suggest that you check the total
usage through the Storage usage screen instead. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • Click the Start menu or Windows icon.
    • Select the gear icon or Settings.
    • Select System > Storage.
    • Under Choose a drive to see what's taking up space, select
      This PC (Drive letter)
    • Under Apps & games, check if the space usage exceeds the estimate 140GB of space.

Let us know should you need further assistance.

Storage showing as double the actual SSD size

Running Windows 10 Home 20H2 (Build 19042.964) on an AMD based Windows Surface Laptop 4 with 512GB SSD.

Even though it has a 512GB SDD as confirmed by both disk management and file explorer, settings -> system -> Storage reports the size as 951GB! I have searched but struggling to discover how to get it to report the real size.

Per the image below it shows
    • 553GB used - bigger than the size of the SDD
      519GB in system & reserved

System and reserved breaks down per this screenshot

Have tried various options including disk cleanup, SFC and DSIM to get it to report the correct size but to no avail. Any suggestions on how to correct this much appreciated?

onedrive taking up alot of storage windows phone

    Hi,

To isolate the concern, please answer the following questions:

    • Is your phone up-to-date?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
    • How long has your phone had this issue?
    • Have you tried logging in to OneDrive via Edge or other browser to check if the data is still available? You can compare the used storage from the one you're seeing on OneDrive app.
    • Have you tried to check your phone storage to check how your phone storage space is being used? Go to
      Settings > Storage sense > Phone > Apps + games >
look for OneDrive app, take a screenshot and attach it to your reply.

We're looking forward to your reply.
