How to see what program/device is eating up the player 1 controller slot.

I play some old gen 6 games that I have emulated on my PC. These games are player specific, and I need to be able to play as player 1. Whenever I boot up my pc, my wired 360 controller will connect as player 1. This happens even if I don't have it inserted until after boot, and it does not matter how long it has been since the last boot. The problem arises once I remove the controller. My laptop does not have many USB ports and I have to move it around a lot, so this happens frequently. After removing the controller for the first time since last reboot, the controller will only reconnect as pla

    DIMM slot 1, 3 or DIMM slot 2, 4?

    Page 1-23 in the manual;

    1. (2) Supports two (2) modules inserted into either the red slots or the black slots as onepair of Dual-channel memory con guration. We suggest that you install the modulesinto slots A2 and B2 for better compatibility.

    Hi Kathy,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community.

I certainly understand the difficulty you are facing with this game error. We will certainly help you with this issue.

    • Have you installed all the pending updates on the computer?
    • Are you facing any performance issues with other apps apart from Infinity Slots?

Let us try these steps to check if that makes any difference.

Step 1: Suggest you to run the apps troubleshooter on the PC to
fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store
    .

Step: 2: Further, you may also put the PC in a
    clean boot
state to check if that helps. A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs, so that you can determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program.

Note: Your computer may temporarily lose some functionality while in a clean boot environment, however, that functionality will return when you reset the computer to start normally after you have finished your troubleshooting.

I would also suggest you to check with the game developer
Infinity Slots - Spin and Win! Website

    Hope this helps.

Let us know if you got the help you needed.

How to see what program/device is eating up the player 1 controller slot.

Cannot play audio CD from Win Media Player

It seems that we almost tried everything that we could use to troubleshoot the issue. We suggest that you try turning on and off the Windows Media Player by following the steps below:

    Turn off Windows Media Player.

    • Press Windows button + X.
    • Click on Control Panel > Programs >
Turn Windows Features on or off
      .
    • Go to Media Features, then uncheck Windows Media Player.
    • Reboot your device for the change to take effect.

To turn on the Windows Media player, you have to follow the steps and put a check on
Windows media player provided on step three.

Note: Turning off Windows Media player might affect other Windows features and programs installed on your computer, including default settings.
