    How to rotate a selection less than 5 degrees in Paint 3D?

    You should use the Photos app, not Paint 3D to do this. No need for a third party utility either.

    Open the image in Photos

    Click Edit & Create

    Click Edit

    Click Crop and Rotate

    Use the Slider to rotate less than 5 degrees. See infographics for steps:

    How to rotate a selection less than 5 degrees in Paint 3D?

    This is OK as a work around, but it still does not solve the problem exactly because really, I want to rotate a "selection", not the whole photo.

    I understand that I can save the selection independently, then move it to the Photos app and rotate, but in my original post, I did mention that I was trying to avoid having to switch apps.

    If there was a way to rotate less than 5 degrees in Paint 3D, I might be inclined to use it for removing green screen backgrounds from product images rather than some other app, but if I have to import and export the images from Paint 3D to and from Photos
    just to do a minor rotation, then I think I'd rather just stick to using another app that can do what I need...

    Please answer these questions to get more clarity on this issue:

    1. In which format are you saving the file? (Ex: Image, 3D model or 3D project)
    2. Are you aware of any changes made to the PC prior to this issue?
    3. Have you installed all the pending updates on the PC?

    Suggest you to run the
    apps troubleshooter     to fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store and restart the PC to check if that makes any difference.
