Windows 10: How to select items like drivers, patches etc from windows update manually?

Hi there,I use Windows 10 on a refurbished Dell XPS 9570. Whenever I allow Update to install new drivers like the ones from Intel the laptop reboots with the message "no hard drive installed". Initially, I reinstalled the operation system twice which obviously didn't help. Then, I read the report of a user with the same problem who advised to force Windows into Repair mode by aborting the reboot sequence twice press and hold the on/off button till the laptop switches off. The will force Windows into Repair mode when you switch the laptop back on for the 3rd time. The corrupted boot sector wi

How to check update items before window update?

When window update is stop, I would like to know on how many items are available to update with patch code, so I can manually update each patch item and confirm not causing any problem.

Windows update keeps replacing ALPS Touchpad driver with a Synaptics driver.

I suggest you to uninstall and delete the previous drivers and the latest drivers for the touchpad and install the required version of the driver from Device Manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager from the list.
• Expand the Touch pad driver.
• Right click on the driver and click on update/install.
• Select the required version from the on-screen prompts.

And for the problem with the installation of printer drivers, I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” option on top left pane.
• Select “Windows Update” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.

How to select window update one by one?

If window 10 home does not possible to install selected patches, after window update for all patches, I would like to know on where to find what patch is being updated,

On the other hands, would it be possible to check on what patches are available before window update? so I would download specific patches and manually do update by myself in order to check on which patches cause my PC issue.

Do you have any suggestions?
