Enabling Recycle Bin for a SD Card

Hello,

I have an SD card (D drive) which I kind of use as permanent storage in my Laptop. The file system of the SD card is NTFS. When I delete files in this drive, they do not go to recycle bin and are deleted permanently. How can I change this behavior so that the deleted files will go to recycle bin? Is it possible in windows?

Thanks.

PS: I do not want to use any third-party software to achieve this.

Try disabling a function in the recycle bin properties, to do this follow these steps:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin and then click on "Properties".
  
• Select the disk you want, and then disable the option "Don't move files to Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted".
  
• Click apply, restart your laptop and see if it worked.

To prevent your files from being deleted from the Recycle Bin, we suggest increasing the maximum file size your Recycle Bin can keep by following the steps below:

• Right click on the Recycle Bin icon.
• Under the Settings for selected location, select Custom size.
• Fill up the box for your allotted maximum file size for your Recycle Bin.
