Windows 10: How to set cameras in Windows 11 to prevent screen timeout when in use?

I work in a school and we have in the last few months transitioned to Windows 11. Or staff make use of visualizers connected to a smart board via a desktop and the screen keeps timing out and locking even while the camera is in use. We have an organization mandated screen/lock timeout policy of 15 minutes of inactivity, which causes problems for staff if they are using a visualizer and it times out while they are showing students something for an extended period of time. Is there a policy setting in Active Directory that can enable this? We never had this problem with Windows 10, which seemed

How to change the Screen Timeout settings

  Right click on the desktop and click on Personalization.
  
• 
  Click on Lock screen
  
• 
  On the bottom of the screen click on Screen Timeout.
  
•

How to extend or eliminate the timeout at sign in on an Acer Windows

To address your concern, we suggest that you adjust your screen timeout setting. It helps you set the time on how long before the screen will be locked due to inactivity.

You can follow the steps below on how to set your screen timeout:

1. Right-click on the Desktop, then choose Personalize.

2. Click Lock screen found on the left pane.

3. Click Screen timeout settings at the bottom part of the page.

4. Choose your preferred screen timeout on the drop down list under Screen.

Screen saver not following settings

Hi Jim,

To help you set your screen configuration properly, kindly follow these steps:

• Press Windows + I.
  
• Under Personalization, select Lock screen.
  
• Go to Screen timeout settings.
  
• Set your desired screen saver timeout duration under the Screen
  option.
