  1. How to set monitor resolution to lower than 600x800? Is 480p possible?

I can’t seem to find a way to output a resolution lower than 600x800, which is the lowest available in the display options menu. I’m trying to connect a (very) old crt monitor to my windows laptop using an hdmi to component video adapter, and so far I have been able to successfully get video to display through the monitor. Unfortunately though it’s a complete mess because the resolution is too high for it to handle. I’d need something around a 480p resolution for it to work. Is there any way to output this on windows 10, either through the OS or through a separate program?

    Thanks

  2. I want to lower my resolution

    Hi Facundo,

It's possible that your laptop does not support a lower resolution. But we can still check if we can activate it through the
Display settings. Follow the steps below:

    • Right-click on your desktop and click Display settings.
    • Select Advanced display settings at the bottom of the page.
    • Select Display adapter properties.
    • Click on List All Modes.
    • Look for the resolution you prefer and select OK.
    • Click Apply.

    Looking forward to your response.

Setting Display Resolution selectively: Possible ?

    Hello,

I have a program that shows an "active" screen.
With my eyesight these days, a bit of a problem in reading it, due to its size.

Came across a good suggestion that to make it appear larger, to lower the display resolution.

Question: is this possible selectively, just for this one program and the higher
resolution would remain for all the other programs, or it's a Global setting, an all-or-nothing ?

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
(There are no "handles," etc. to drag the display that is showing larger)

    Thanks,
    Bob
