    How to set Slideshow Background to be the same picture on dual monitors.


    Hello,I am running windows 11 with dual monitors 1x HDMI and 1x Display. I can setup a slideshow easily enough for my background that changes every minute. However, I want it to be the same image on both monitors, and to shuffle both monitors at the same time. Right now, it shuffles one image on one of the monitors alternating every minute. So each screen has it's shuffled image for 2 minutes, rather than both monitors for 1 minute at the same time.I've searched around and haven't seen this question solved in any forum I have looked. I also spent a decent time combing through the options.

    Screensaver slideshow does not display correctly whith dual monitors set to "extend desktop"

    Objective: I have dual monitors (as an extended desktop, side by side) and want it to show my own pictures as a screensaver slideshow in Windows 10.

    Problem: Only the lower half ot the picture is diplayes in the top half of monitor 1. Monitor 2 is black.

    Addtional observations:

    • In "Screen Saver Settings" the small mock-up display looks fine, however when i select "Preview" the problem with only half the picture displayed occurs also in the preview.
    • The problem does not occur with only one monitor in use
    • The problem does not occur with dual monitors set to "Duplicate these displays"

    Gratefull for all suggestions to solve the problem

    The same picture also work fine as desctop background with different pictures displayed on each monitor.

    Naw, OP is just confused and is (ab)using) Slideshow to set Single Picture mode. Cyberghost's post here:

    * Setting different Backgrounds for Dual Monitors in Windows 10

    lets you stay out of Slideshow mode but still set a picture for monitor via right-clicking on the particular images you want in that interface.

    They also added this feature to the 'normal' Settings page in Windows Insider beta build 10525.

    Nope, does not work. Background images still switch. There is no right-click option to set monitor. Right clicking the images brings up "set as slideshow" popup, nothing else.

    ***Just a thought, maybe it's the difference between laptop and desktop perhaps? I am using a laptop with a second monitor.***
