How to set up SDXC card storage as non-removable on my Surface Pro 7?Already formatted in NTFS. Already made that c:/SDcard method but it's not what I need.

• Have you made any changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
• Which version and OS build number of Windows 10 is currently installed? To check, press the Windows key, type winver, and press the Enter key.
• What is the make and model of your device?
• Do you received any error messages?
• Have you tried using a different SDXC card, and check if you will be able to experience the same issue?
• Have you tried to copy/paste a file from your C: drive to your SDXC card?
• Have you tried inserting your SDXC card to a different device?
• What is the file system of your SDXC card?

Meanwhile, I would suggest that you try to reformat your SDXC card to a NTFS file system and check if it helps.

SDXC Unmounts During Sleep on Surface Pro 3 Running Windows 10

I have been running a 128GB Sandisk SDXC on my Surface Pro 3 with Windows 8.1 for over 6 months, and with zero issues. I installed Windows 10 a month ago when it launched, and instantly my SDXC card continues to unmounts on sleep - this is very frustrating.
The only way to get it to remount is to restart the computer, or remove and add the SD card to/from the Surface's slot.

I have read all of the past Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 posts for this issue, and have tried all of those recommendations (i.e., formatting card to NTFS, selecting "best performance", etc.), and with no success.

This is clearly a Windows 10 issue. Is anyone else having the same problem, and/or has anyone found a solution for this.

I did see this article earlier as well, and tried everything that was posted here too. The only real new idea in this other post is to change the SDXC card's policies to "Better performance", which I already tried earlier, and with no success. Other articles
have suggested a work around by creating a virtual drive on start-up, but this is a little extreme and shouldn't need ot be done to access your data.

This issue only started with Windows 10, and like I said before, this card and Surface Pro 3 worked flawlessly together until the upgrade.

An interesting point though that this article mentioned is that the dismounting only occurs on a prolonged sleep. So quickly putting the computer to sleep and then waking it right away does not unmounts the SDXC, it is only a long sleep that disables it.
