Windows 10: How to setup desktop switching with external monitors

I am currently using an external monitor for my lenovo laptop and have set it up to extend the current display. I also have set the 3-finger swipe to switch between desktops however when I do this, it switches between desktops on both the laptop and the monitor. I am used to using a mac so was wondering if I am able to set my lenovo up in the same way so that when I use the 3-finger swipe to change desktops, it only changes on the display that is being used at the time 1 display and not both.Thank you!

Switching multiple virtual desktops on external monitor

Hi everyone,

I need some help with switching virtual desktops. I used to have a MacBook pro and I was able to switch between multiple desktops on both my laptop and the monitor (external display). I want to be able to do the same, however when I switch desktops on my
monitor, it causes the desktop on my laptop to also switch (essentially mirroring). In settings, I have already set it as extend these displays, can anyone help?

 

Double Monitor Setup is not connecting

To setup dual monitors, I suggest you to press Windows + P keys
and select Extend or the required option and check for status. If you are still unable to setup dual monitor, suggest you to update the Display Adapter driver by following the steps provided below and check for status.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.
