Windows 10: How to show date in the taskbar when using "taskbar small buttons"? (Without dragging the...

this is a really simple issue:
When small taskbar button is activated the date disappears from the taskbar. When I google this problem, I only find a reference to an App called T-Clock which hasn't been updated in 3 years and also doesnt work. Another "solution" is to unlock the taskbar, drag it bigger and the date appears. To me this "solution" is crap because the whole fucking point of small taskbar buttons is to make the taskbar smaller in order to have more screen real estate for the important stuff.
I just cant believe that this is an issue. Its really annoying that I simply cant glance to right lower corner of my screen in order to see the date and instead have to click on the clock like an animal.
Any help is appreciated!

edit. Found a solution. Just download the newest "pre-release" of T-Clock here. Works on 64 Bit for me

Date is not showing in taskbar

Your taskbar is small to show the date as it can not contain that.

1. Either you can drag your taskbar up by holding the border to make it double.

OR

2. Windows Key+I > Personalization > Taskbar > Toggle use small taskbar buttons to Off

 

Day and date gone from taskbar

Hello,

To assist you better, you might have opted to have the small buttons on the taskbar from its properties. If you uncheck the option to have small buttons on the taskbar, then that would increase the taskbar size and will display the date with the time on the
notification area on the taskbar.

You may follow these steps:

• Right click on the Taskbar and select Properties.
• On the Taskbar tab, uncheck the option “Use small Taskbar
  buttons”.
• Click on Apply and then OK.
• Now check if that display the date with the time on the notification area.

Hi HORSTROGALLA

If you show Small Taskbar buttons, the clock will always be one or three lines

Right click an empty part of the Taskbar and choose 'Taskbar settings'

Turn off 'Show small Taskbar buttons'

Close the settings App

Right click your Taskbar and make sure ;Lock the Taskbar is not icked

Click and drag the top of the taskbar until the date and time is only two lines

That's it!
