Windows 10: How to show full path in Windows 11 explorer address bar instead of obfuscated path

Instead of this:I want to see this:All the time. Not just when I click on it.I never like obfuscated information. And real paths are easier to navigate for advanced users to use than simplified ones. I manually click the address just to see the path 100's of times a day. Is there a way to fix this?Thanks,Steve

How to have full path always show in Address bar in file explorer?

You can change the Windows 11 File Explorer address bar to show the full file path by following these steps:

1. Open File Explorer.
   
2. Click on the three-dot menu icon located at the top right of the window.
   
3. Click on 'Options'.
   
4. In the 'Folder Options' window that appears, go to the 'View' tab.
   
5. In the 'Advanced settings' list, find and check the 'Display the full path in the title bar' option.
   
6. Click 'Apply', then 'OK'.

How to make file explorer show full path on address bar?

Hi! I want to see full path on explorer address bar in my homefolder, desktop and so on. How do I do that? I have tried this: Always show full path in Explorer Address Bar in Windows 11/10 But when go to Desktop I still see just Desktop.

I want that instead of Desktop it would show C:\users\username\desktop. And I want it to be like that always with no exception to any location at all.

That WindowsClub article is incorrectly titled. The procedure it describes is for displaying the full address in the title bar not the address bar. If I need the full path then I just click in a blank area of the address bar then it appears [ready-selected] so I can copy it.
