How to show mounted iso drives in File Explorer Navigation Pane?

I've accidentally mounted an iso before, without realizing it accidental double-click or something, then trying to rename it or move it gives an error that it can't because it's being used by something else... because there's no way to tell what, I end up just stumbling on why when I clicked into This PC and noticed it was mounted to a drive. The problem is, the mounted drives don't show in Navigation Panel on the left side of File Explorer, only when clicking into This PC.I'm not seeing how to get mounted iso file drives to show in the Navigation Panel.Note how iso mount works in Windows

    :)

  2. How to show mounted iso drives in File Explorer Navigation Pane?

    Hi HapiDemi,

I'm Rodrigo and I will help you.

By default, the mounted iso files should show under This PC right below the drives.

Try resetting the File Explorer view and check if the drives show on Navigation Pane after mounting.

On the top menu select View > Options > View tab > select Reset Folders to reset the view on all folders.

How to show mounted iso drives in File Explorer Navigation Pane?

    Error when mounting ISO files

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand when you are trying to delete/rename/move the ISO files after mounting it you get an error message. It could be possible that the ISO file is mounted and that is the reason you are unable to modify it.

I suggest you to eject the ISO file and then try to modify it. Please follow the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + E, to open
      File Explorer
      .
    2. Click on This PC on the left pane, you will find the mounted ISO file.
    3. Right click on the ISO file and click on Eject. Try modifying the ISO file now.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.

    Regards,
