Windows 10: How to show "recent" documents with right-click.

I use a number of Notepad and Word documents that I edit frequently. Heretofore I have been able to right-click the pinned application to see a list of "recent" documents and could open one quickly. Since the upgrade to Windows 11, the right-click only offers to open the application. Is there a "setting" that can restore that useful function?

Office 365 - removing recent documents

You would need to go to the app that was used for that document and remove it from the recent documents list within the app. For example if a Word document shows up in the list and you want to remove it; open Word and then in the recent documents list within Word right click on the entry you want to remove and select Remove from list.

 

Re-enabling recent documents

An update with auto-patcher disabled the recent documents under start menu in windows Xp. Any way to get it back?
Also how can I set it to show only recently viewed text documents.

in previous windows we can set how many recent document/apps to be listed, where is this setting in windows 10 ?

and how to clear recent document (word/excel) from the taskbar icon right click menu ? i've try to click the "remove from this list" menu, but it's not removed

and before i've many pinned document, and the other recent document still showed, but in win 10 the other recent document not available unless i remove some pinned document
