Windows 10: how to sign in when the sign in options arent working and need to sign in to access...

i am locked out of my windows 11 laptop. i have gone through every troubleshooting issue listed in microsoft support most i cannot access without signing in in my laptop. i cannot access safe mode either. this started november 2024. not after an update, as i could still log in using my fingerprint or pin after updates. at this date hard reset a few hundred times seemed to correct the issue. that no longer works, as of 1 may 2025. again, could still sign in after updates.now, 1 may 2025 it stopped letting me sign in using my fingerprint or my pin again i know my pin, its written in a secr

Sign-in Options doesn't work


In Accounts, when I click Sign-in Options, that text turns darker, indicating selection, but no options appear and I can then select no other choices under Accounts. SFC /SCANNOW shows no integrity violations and my PC is up to date. Any ideas why sign-in options doesn't work?

I don't remember if I enabled signing in without a password, probably in Windows 7, if that was available, because that may have carried over to Windows 10 when I upgraded. So would the sign-in option simply not work if one enables signing in without a password?

As a test, try using step 4 in option 5 to disable require sign-in on wakeup may work for you.
