Windows 10: How To Simplify Windows 10 To Make It More Like Windows 98?

Hello. I am trying to fix Windows 10 so that it works and looks like Windows 98.

*How do I simplify it aesthetically so that it's not devoting resources to looking fancy?

*How do I stop it from popping up notifications in the lower right hand corner about programs I don't use and don't want to use?

*How do I stop it from randomly syncing with other computers I own? (i.e. how and why did it make the background the same as my other computer???? IT SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO DO THAT. How do I stop it from doing stuff like this?????????)

*How do I get it to display a regular Start menu?

Windows 98 problem

why not try to use virtual PC and emulate windows 98 on a XP machine or did someone already suggest that?

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Windows 98......

Windows 98 SE is Windows 9x and Windows 2000 is Windows NT. Some software may not run on Windows 2000 where it did on Windows 98 SE (ISA especially).

Windows 98 SE does have USB support but it isn't near as plug n' play as it is today. You have to make sure to install drivers (if nothing else, generic Microsoft drivers) for all USB devices. The Windows 98 SE disk comes in real handy for that.
