  1. How to size and place programs to stay in place next time you open them

Hello, it would be quite helpful if I could learn how to keep/save my programs in the size that I make them and also in the same location where I place them on the screen so that next time I turn on the computer and open everything up, they open up in the desired place and are the desired size .. if that makes sense. I am running Windows 10 and have half a dozen programs that I use each day and it would be great if I didn't have to size them and place them how I like them every morning and if they could just remember how I like them to be!

P.S I did Google this and tried the "hold ctrl button and press X to close" technique, but it didn't work, as the next time I opened these, I had to resize, replace as usual.

I am very, very grateful for the correct answer, it may only save me two minutes each morning, but I would prefer to use those two minutes on actual work rather than this little task. Many thanks.

    :)

IE 11 does not open in the same place and size each time (Windows 10)

    Hi,

IE 11 suddenly does not open in the same place and size from the last time. I have to move and resize it every time I open the window. SO frustrating

    I am Windows 10

Cant place icons on certain places on dekstop

We suggest doing an in-place repair by following the steps in Andre Da Costa's wiki article here.
Don't worry, you'll have an option to keep your files when you do an in-place upgrade.

Give us an update on what happens after performing an in-place repair of Windows 10.

Cant place icons on certain places on dekstop

We appreciate the information you've provided. We suggest downloading the latest update, KB4020102, to see if that resolves your concern with the icon placement.
To do that, go to Settings > Update & Security
    > Check for Updates.

We also recommend changing the desktop icon settings. To access it, follow these steps:

    • Click Start.

    • Type Themes and press Enter.

    • Click Change desktop icons.

    • Uncheck Allow themes to change desktop icons.

    • Click Apply.

    • Click OK.

After installing the latest updates and changing the desktop icon settings, check if you can place icons on the left side of your screen.

Let us know if what happens to your icon placement after following these steps.
