Windows 10: How to Snip and Sketch when pressing Windows Logo + Shift + S keys fail to open Screen...

Snip & Sketch window fails to stay open

OK, can you reboot and then re-try the Snip & Sketch.

If the problem persists, do the following:

Press Windows Key + I key to open Settings, and click on Apps.

You should already be on Apps & features. Find Sketch & Snip app from the available list of apps.

Click on Snip & Sketch > Uninstall.

Then click on Start and type store and click on Microsoft Store in the results.

In the Microsoft store, type Snip into the search box and hit Enter and Snip & Sketch will be in the results. Click on it and then click on Get. Let it install and then try using it again.

Let me know if this works.

 

Snip & Sketch - Windows key stays "hot"

I am finding that when I use Snip & Sketch via Win-Shift-S, then after capturing my snip, it is as if I have continued to have my Windows key depressed.

For example, Win-A brings up the notification screen. Here is what happens for me when I use Snip & Sketch:

Win-Shift-S (screen goes dark)

Draw box

Get notification that snip has been taken.

Press the "A" button

Notifications screen opens.

Any keyboard button I press from that point on brings up whatever Win+(that key) would do. The only way to get it to stop is to press the Win key twice.

Is it just me?

 

Snip and Sketch Awkward

Use Windows+shift+s to launch Snip and Sketch. Can snip a screenshot.

Now the problem is this: after snipping the screen shot, it does not automatically appear in the Snip and Sketch app. So I open Snip and Sketch and there's nothing on it.

So I have choose 'new' and snip the screen yet again.

I recall using this once and taking a screenshot and voila! Snip and Sketch appeared with the screen shot duly in the app's workspace, ready for annotations and saving etc. This facility has disappeared. I have re-set it according to instructions, and even
reinstalled it - yet the problem persists.

Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks
