    How to solve the issue of ssd not showing as a partition and how to migrate windows to my ssd


    I add a ssd into my laptop. Earlier it was not showing as a disk so go to the disk management and give that a alphabet so now it is showing as an another partition amd sometimes when I restart my computer it didn't show that partition so how to solve that issue and migrate my windows to that partition

    Migrate Windows 10 to SSD

    Hi, I just bought a new Kingston A400 SSD for my new pc & want to install Windows 10 on it but the motherboard Asus Prime B660M-A Wifi D4 didn’t list SSD as bootable drive & it recognize the SSD in bios under AHCI mode. I use usb drive as window installer to install window on the ssd, but everytime after “finishing up” installing stage and it goes to restart, it return back to window installer bootup.



    I plug in gpu to enable legacy mode instead of UEFI, this time the SSD is in the bootable list, but when I want to install Windows on it, it shows this error “hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu”. I use diskpart to clean & convert the SSD from GPT into MBR partition, it still giving the same error. Then I updated the bios to latest, repeat all process above, disable fast boot, UEFI/Legacy mode, searching google solutions to fix it for 2 nights, it still remain unable to install window on this SSD.

    This morning I decide to install the Windows on HDD under MBR partition in Legacy mode, it success. Now the question is, am I able to migrate the HDD’s Windows into SSD on GPT Partition and boot from the SSD under UEFI or SSD under MBR Partition, boot with Legacy mode by any chance please?

    If the answer is “No”, what about making a Windows Image on USD Drive & restore it into SSD works please? Any helps will be appreciate. Thank you.

    OS migration to ssd

    I want to migrate my OS to my new ssd, but with the softwares I've downloaded can only move the whole C: drive, but my ssd only has 223gb of storage and I've got in my HDD 500gb of stored stuff. To solve this I made a partition to move all the files that
    weren't files of the OS. When I tried to do this I couldn't move such files. Is there a way to move all my files from the C: drive to the partition or to manually move my OS to the ssd?
