    How to solve the problem of partition size is limited even though it it lot of free space?


    I want to create a 150 GB partition from my C drive which has about 330 GB free space. The partition size is limited to 40GB.I can't create beyond this limit. Anyone please help me.

    Partition Sizes?

    My new system has 2 150 g Raptors in Raid0. I normally keep the O/S on one partition, installed applications on another, and my paging file on another partition. With a volume size of 300 gigs, what would you suggest as far as partition sizes are concerned?

    Solved

    Solved! or fixed! or whatever! I was able to absorb the extra space in a 3-step process:
    1. resize the System Reserved partition to use the space after it
    2. reboot
    3. stretch the M: data partition to absorb the space after it using the EXTEND -- not RESIZE -- command
    System rebooted and working normally. THX all.

    Partition size and total disk space don't match

    Even though the partition size for Disk 0 is 953.87 GB, the total capacity shows up as 793 GB in the list of properties. There isn't any unallocated space, and Drive E (Disk 1's second partition) has a capacity equal to the partition's size. How would I
    make the shown capacity equal to the partition size?
