Windows 10: How to solve the windows 1909 installation error 0x80300024 on 3rd M.2 SSD ? Think and...

Yesterday afternoon I successfully downloaded windows 10 1909 64bit consumer edition which contains home, pro, education, and workstation.

I created windows 10 USB bootable 14GB pen drive. When i try to do a clean installation of windows 10 1909 on 3rd M.2 SSD, I received an error 0x80300024.

I saw 3 videos on how to solve this installation issue, after seeing videos, but I am not satisfied because, in all videos, they told to remove all harddrives except primary windows drive.


disk 0 is 2TB hdd

disk 1 is 1TB hdd

disk 2 is 250GB ssd , i need installation on 250GB ssd


I am using Asus vivobook 15 R542UQ-DM153 with X542UQ.309 bios with 16GB ddr4 ram, Seagate 2TB 2.5' HDD, Toshiba 1TB 2.5 HDD and Samsung 860 Evo M.2 250GB 2280. All the HDD and SSD are connected internally and the laptop is still a warranty. So i dont like to void my warranty. I dont like to go to the service center for installation.


There is no option to disable hard drives in BIOS. USB Pendrive is not corrupted, not damaged.

Downloaded windows 10 1909 iso is genuine and is not corrupted.


Think about how to solve the installation without removing extra hard drives in a laptop or sealed desktop.

Assume there is no options to hide or disable HDD in BIOS.


I solved this error in a different way without USB bootable Pendrive, not used DVD at night 9PM


Please give your ideas, after getting replies i tell you, how i solved this

Windows 10 Anniversary Update Install on M.2 SSD

I've tried to install this update but with no luck.

I think that it's the M.2 SSD that won't let windows update install itself. I tried so many times I lost count...

Here is my config (at least what is important for this problem):

C Drive: Samsung MZHPV128HDGM-00000 (SM951 M.2 SSD)

MotherBoard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI

RAM: 16GB (4*4GB) of HyperX CL9 (but I doubt that this could be the problem)

I had the M.2 SSD in an expansion card and I managed to put it in the other GPU-Slot - which I didn't use - but for the time being I tried to place the M.2 SSD in the M.2 SSd slot on the MB.

Till now nothing I've tried worked... so I would appreciate a little help here what to do.

I am constantly getting: 0xC1900101 - 0x20017 error code (yes I googled it how to fix it but still nothing).

I hope there is everything You need. If I missed something then please remind me!
