How to solve this explorer.exe and msedge.exe problem?

Recently I have a problem that if I run Microsoft Edge msedge.exe while explorer.exe is running then the entire system becomes not responding and I must restart the entire system. If I terminate explorer.exe with Windows Task Manager and then run Microsoft Edge msedge.exe then the system still works except all Universal Windows Apps which need explorer.exe in order to work including settings. Why both explorer.exe and msedge.exe can't run simultaneously?

    :)

  2. [SOLVED] Cannot open .exe files

The clean boot needs an exe file to work, so therefore I can't do one!!!

Any other ideas that do not need a exe file?

    [SOLVED] Cannot open .exe files

    Hi,

I appreciate you for trying some steps in order to get the issue fixed.

Please reply to the questions mentioned below in order to assist you in a better way.

    • Did you make any changes prior to the issue?
    • What is the complete error message that you get?
    • Is the issue specific to opening .exe files?
I would request you to place the computer in clean boot and then check if the .exe files can be opened.

Perform a clean boot to check if any third party application is causing the issue, as clean boot helps in eliminating software conflicts.

How to troubleshoot problem by performing clean boot in Windows:

How to perform a clean boot in Windows

Note: Refer "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" to reset the computer to start as normal after troubleshooting.

Please revert if you still find error while opening the .exe files.

    Thank you.

How to solve this explorer.exe and msedge.exe problem?

    some .exe files hang

In the last 48 hours, some .exe files do not execute. If started from explorer, explorer hangs. No error messages. These files run on another Win 10 machine. Nothing obvious in the event viewer. I note that *.exe file cannot be deleted when the system is in this state. I must reboot to regain access to the .exe file. sfc /scannnow shows no errors.

    Any suggestions?
