Windows 10: How to stop a mouse from scrolling after the wheel has stopped?

Hello,I have Windows 10.I used a different mouse for a week which had 2 wheel functions; Fixed, and Freewheeling.Now I'm back using my standard mouse which only has a fixed wheel.Problem is, when I stop scrolling on the mouse, the screen I'm on keeps scrolling or zooming if I'm holding down the Control buttonI've tried adjusting the number of lines per scroll in the mouse settings but that doesn't seem to make a difference.Please can someone help?

Microsoft Modern Mouse (Bluetooth) Scroll Wheel not working.

the scroll wheel on my Microsoft Modern Mouse (Bluetooth) stopped working. I have done all troubleshooting steps: system updates, installed Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse Center, disconnected mouse and reconnected. Nothing has worked yet. Haven't yet tried
it on a different PC. Don't have another Microsoft PC. Have a MacBook, but not sure the mouse can work on that. Any suggestions?

 

Microsoft Studio Mouse wheel stopped scrolling

A while ago, my Microsoft Studio Mouse's scroll wheel stopped working. I checked the drivers and they are up to date. I tried to change the characteristics from "one screen at a time" to "multiple windows at a time" just to see if changing the settings
would wake it up. No luck. I changed the batteries to make sure it was fully powered. No difference. How can I get the scroll wheel working again?
