Sir/Madam,How to stop automatic update of desktop application in windows 10 desktop/laptop?. There are so many answers about how to stop windows update. But I need the answer about the stoping the automatic update prompt or new version release prompt. How to stop this permanantly.I want to use the old version as it is stable. The manufacture of the app says to update. But I do not want. In the app Apowerrec there is no option about that . How to do it?The app makers say that I have to update and I am familer with earlier version

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
