Windows 10: How to stop Cumulative Update Previews and any other updates from downloading Windows 10...

In Windows 10, I have the automatic updates disabled in order to control what does and does not download to my computer. But it looks like MS has an inbuilt override of the user control which I need to remove.When I go to Windows Updates it says: Last checked for updates date and time, it could be only few minutes earlier. There are no updates available.But the moment I click on Check for Updates - several updates appear and immediately start downloading with NO OPTION TO STOP THE DOWNLOAD of any specific updates. Then it says that the PC will restart after busy hours to install the update

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Maybe try with the Windows update mini-tool, found here http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...dows-10-automatic-updates-and-spyware.218745/ , thanks to Mussels. it installed perfectly for me last night.
