Windows 10: How to stop decryption in process and re-encrypt BitLocker? Before completing the...

Is there a way to stop the disk decryption and encrypt the whole thing back? WITHOUT finishing the decryption Today's status: 64% decryption It takes too long, I didn't check beforehand how long it would take I would like to stop the process because it is taking too long and encrypt the decrypted files back.

For future reference, instead of using the TASK MANAGER to restart, you can simply hold CTRL + SHIFT and right click on blank space on the Task bar, to bring up 'Exit Explorer'.

Another option is to use software.

how to safely stop bitlocker decryption process

i don't think you understand my question, my issue.

the drive was/is encrypted. I want to decrypt the drive. I turned off bit locker and started the decryption, the decryption is stuck at 94% now going on 72 hours, I want to cancel

or stop the decryption process with out damaging the data on the drive.

 

After encrypting C: drive bitlocker goes straight to "suspended"

I encrypted my c: drive on windows 10 pro using bitlocker with no problems; however, after encryption was complete bitlocker manager indicated that bitlocker was suspended. when I run manage-bde -status the information says drive is 100% encrypted but
says protection is off. I have decrypted and repeated process and have same problem. Any suggestions? could something else be interfering with bitlocker (antivirus software)? I have followed all proceedures regarding using bitlocker without TPM, computer is
a HP Stream laptop.
