Windows 10: How to Stop file explorer jump around screen with dir change

When I change directory on Windows file explorer, It location jumps around screen.It is remembering what location it was in last time I was looking at this directory.Very annoying. If I open a new file explorer Windows and try to navigate down many directory to find something. I jeep jumping. and i have to go searching for it again, and again. How do i Stop this feature, as it feels like a Bug to me. I have Windows 10 V 21h1 build 19043.2251I have tried: google search, tuning off "restore previous folder windows on logon" in folder optionsThanks

Windows File Explorer jumps screen location on changing directory

How can we stop window's file explorer to jump the screen location as soon we change the file directory. When we open a folder or go back or up, file explorer changes its location and jumps around on screen. Can I fix the location or make it stop from moving? Happy to share more details or share screenshots if this is not descriptive.

 

File Explorer jump list not working

Hi, thank you for your suggestions. I tried all those and no component missing. After the last one I rebooted just in case it needed that.

Result is that I have no change.

Another thing I noticed is that when I right click on the start icon whilst the run and search work fine everything from and including the File Explorer is similar to my jump list problem. Except that whilst in the jump list I can right click and get a
mini menu from the start icon this list just disappears whether I left or right click.

File Explorer Jump List

Hi, New PC Win 10 installed been working fine for about a year. All of a sudden, could have been after an update, and whilst all other jump lists are fine, the File Explorer jump list won't let me open an item by left clicking on it. To open an file
from the File Explorer Jump List I have to right click to open the jump list then right click again to open the mini menu and then I can left click the word Open. This is so annoying when you're used to just left clicking the file once the jump list is open.
Any ideas anyone apart from restore. thanks.
