How to stop files from downloading into C: AppData

Just to start I'm not too knowledgeable on the proper terms of everything. So my C drive is almost full and it's because of the AppData folder. I have already moved the folders like "downloads," "documents," etc. to the D drive and set files to go to D: Program Files. I don't want to change the whole location of the folder into my D drive, but I do want to move some files that I think won't mess up my pc. I tried looking up how to make new downloads go to the D: AppData, but all I could find was how to move the whole folder. Is there a way to move some of these files and make future files go t

some games put savegames and such in the appdata folders - IDM is your download manager, so thats where your incomplete downloads are hiding.

How to stop files from downloading into C: AppData

How can I stop my PC from booting up Windows?

You can safely delete the contents in..

    C:\Windows\Temp
    C:\Users\<user name>\Local Settings\Temp or C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download (safe to delete the whole folder) (files are needed if you ever want to uninstall a Windows update)

I'm sure others can add to the list.
