Windows 10: How to stop icon distorting virtual background when I close camera lens during online meeting?

My laptop has a cover that can be closed over the inbuilt camera's lens. During an online meeting, as soon as I slide the cover over the laptop's camera lens, so that only my virtual background is showing, a grey icon of a laptop showing the camera lens is covered is automatically imposed on top of my virtual background. How do I prevent this icon from being added automatically and distorting the virtual background as soon as I manually close my laptop camera lens? This problem only started recently.

Camera lens on Lumia 820 doesn't close

Hello!

This morning I noticed that my camera lens on my Nokia Lumia 820 was opened, even though I didn't have any camera app running.

I've tried to start the camera application, and then exited it - doesn't work. (one time my phone got stuck loading the application, had to reboot my phone. Cause of the lens?) But my camera does work, though.

Also, as mentioned, I've rebooted my phone several times.

Since I couldn't find anything about this on the Google-searches I did, I came here.

How do I make the lens close itself, again?

Any suggestions will help!

Thank you for posting on the forum.



I understand that you cannot close a lens on your Camera app. What lens is that? Do you have other lenses on your phone, are they working?



Can you try to reset your camera settings? When you go to Camera, tap (...) and go to Photo settings.

Lumia 920 front camera lens distortion (not dust)

It was physical defect (so have no idea how your reset would help solving it) Got replacement from my carrier. Glass is flat this time - no curves on edges. So no "lens" distortion effect. Please see photos of the front camera and gorilla glass before and
after replacement.
