Windows 10: How to stop my laptop explorer from deleting my tabs open and deleting my history

Every now and then my laptop keeps deleting my browser history and my tabs open. When I go to restore it after this, nothing is in my history. I am unsure if this happens after an update, sometimes it does but I cannot be sure for certain.

Method 1: Internet Explorer (Delete Browsing History)

Step 1:

I suggest you to press Shift Key + Ctrl Key + Delete Key together and check the box against History and delete.

Steps 2: Reset Internet Explorer.

Method 2: Microsoft Edge (Delete Browsing History)

Note: When you use InPrivate Tabs your browsing data (like cookies history or temporary files) isn’t saved on your pc after you are done. Microsoft Edge deletes temporary data from
your pc after all your InPrivate Tabs are closed.

Delete History

1. Are you referring to Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge in Windows 10?

2. Are you referring items in the Address Bar drop-down list?

3. When trying to delete the History, did you uncheck "Preserve Favorites website data"?

• In Internet Explorer, press CTRL+ SHIFT + DEL keys together on your keyboard to display the
  Delete Browsing History dialog
• Check the box next to History.

deleting browser history

I solved this issue on my Samsung Focus by closing out all the tabs in IE and then deleting your history.

When you open IE on your WP7, there are three icons at the bottom of the screen- Add, Favorites, and Tabs. If you have multiple tabs open then a number will be displayed inside the Tabs icon indicating how many tabs are currently open on your browser.
Click the Tabs icon and a list will pop up showing you all the tabs that are open. There you have the option to close out the tabs by pressing the X. I'm not sure if it's necessary, but then you can go ahead and delete your history as well. I also had "Allow
cookies on my phone" and "Let Bing suggest sites as I type" unchecked, although I'm not entirely sure that mattered.
