Windows 10: How to stop Onedrive from pinning itself back to the Home folder on Windows 11

Hello,For some reason usually on reboot, OneDrive pins itself back to the Home folders on Windows 11. Does anyone know how to stop this behaviour please? Obviously, I don't want OneDrive appearing in Home because the actual OneDrive folder appears almost directly beneath the Home folders so pretty pointless in my case. I find the Home folders useful when I want to pin a folder that is several layers deep within subfolders but just not with OneDrive being pinned to it. Plus, it's annoying when apps/systems decide for you what should/shouldn't be pinned.Kind Regards,David

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.

 

Windows 10 - OneDrive

Anyone know how to remove "OneDrive - For Business" from the Explorer navigation panel? I've tried just about every registry modification, and windows policy for "Onedrive" but they only seem to work for the consumer product, not for onedrive for business.

The onedrive product alone is so damn annoying and continues to load itself upon startup, even when it's explicitly remove from startup. It continues to automatically load and unload itself from within the startup folder... while I'm actively watching it load itself into the startup folder.

 

Pinned OneDrive folder link opens multiple windows

I have a OneDrive folder pinned to my taskbar. I want to use this pinned icon to navigate to OneDrive as I am working throughout the day. However, every time I click the icon, instead of RETURNING to my already-open window, it opens a NEW OneDrive window. So, as teh day goes on, I get multiple instances of the same OneDrive folder open.

What can I do to change the folder behavior and stop this from happening?

For reference, I have the "Open each folder in the same window" button selected in the Folder Options settings and I am fully updated on Windows 11 Pro.
