On a fresh <24h newly installed Windows 11 system with the latest patches as of the date of filing and installing the necessary applications Logitech G hub to enable the Logitech pro x wireless headphones, enable the sidenote option inside the application and set it to the maximum value, sidetone does not work.The reason for this is probably a malfunction of the system “Privacy & security -> Microphone", which can not be turned off, so that the system stops turning off the microphone when it thinks that no application is using it. Easy enable/disable microphone?

My bro just got a microphone and I was wondering if there's an easy way to enable or disable it. I know you can right click on the volume icon, click on select recording devices then select the microphone, then click properties, then click on levels, and mute it - but that's just way too many steps, I'm looking for a more obvious and much easier way to do it.

This issue occurs due to permission issue, driver issue, license for an app is out of sync with the license installed on the computer or if the app is not updated. To give permission to Camera and Microphone app, you may follow
these steps:

• Go to Settings.
• Select Privacy.
• Look for Camera, make sure that “Let apps use my camera” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your camera as well.
• Go back to Privacy and select Microphone, make sure that “Let apps use my microphone” is turned On. You may choose the apps that can use your microphone as well.

Check the microphone privacy settings.

1. Press "Windows + I" and select "Privacy & security > Microphone";

2. Make sure "Microphone access" is turned on;

3. Look for affected apps and see if the microphone access is allowed;

(These apps will only be on the list if they were installed using the Microsoft Store. If they were not installed using the Microsoft Store, see step 4)

4. At the end of the list, see if "Let desktop apps access your microphone" is turned on.
