Windows 10: How to stop the system starting Windows Calculator?

Hi All,on my Windows 11 PC with all updates, a few days ago Runtime Broker began to start Windows Calculator very frequently. I couldn't stop it doing this. I tried so far following: - Disable get tips & tricks and background Apps- Running an SFC scan with DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth, /ScanHealth and /RestoreHealth- Clean boot the PC by deactivating all non-microsoft services- Deactivating the timebroker service.- Checking for malware with Adwcleaner and the MalwareBytes tool.- I tried: sc config TimeBrokerSvc start= demand- I never used OneDrive and it was already disabled.I

As the issue persists only with the calculator app, you may try to uninstall the apps which came inbuilt with Windows 10 using Windows PowerShell and reinstall using Windows store. Follow the below steps to uninstall and reinstall the Calculator
app.

• 
  Open the Start menu, type
  Windows PowerShell in the search bar.
  
• 
  Right click on the Windows PowerShell and select
  Run as administrator.
  
• 
  Enter the below command to reinstall the Photos app.
  
  get-appxpackage *Microsoft.WindowsCalculator* | remove-appxpackage
  

Note: After performing the above steps, install the Calculator app form the Windows store.

Now, you may try to open the Calculator app and check the functionality.

Hi,

Some of the reasons why the calculator app will not work properly are: the program encountered a corrupted system files, virus and malware, and another application is conflicting with it.

We suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the calculator. In doing so, you will have a fresh copy of the application which will eliminate the issue. Here are the steps:

• Right-click on the Start menu.
• Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
• Allow the application to make changes, Type in Powershell then, click
  Enter.
• Type in Get-AppxPackage *windowscalculator* | Remove-AppxPackage then, click
  Enter.
• Type in Get-AppxPackage *windowscalculator* | Add-AppxPackage then, click
  Enter.
• Restart the computer after the process and try accessing the menu of the calculator.
