    How to stop Totalav ads.


    TotalAV ads pop up every single time I click to bring up a different file or web page - how to stop ? ? need help. I don't have any new software that I've installed lately. I've run a pc cleanup program and an antivirus scan, I've deleted any of their programs that I could find. - didn't help.thank you in advancedave w.

    Hi, have you try to follow the steps I given in order to remove TotalAv in context menu?

    What do i do after i uninstall TotalAV

    Download Autoruns:

    Autoruns - Sysinternals

    • Extract the files to their own folder. Right click on Autoruns.exe and Run as administrator.
    • When it finishes processing, go to menu item Options and select Hide Microsoft Entries.
    • Select the Explorer tab and you should see context menu handlers for TotalAV.
    • Right click TotalAV entries and Delete.

    You may need to restart (not shutdown) for the changes to take effect.

    Let me know if you have any problem.

    Defender and TotalAV both turned off

    Sumit , microsoft support has has worked and I can now 'enable' TotalAV.

    Windows Security still shows both Defender and TotalAV TURNED OFF even when TotalAV tells me that I am protected,
