    How to stop Windows 11 from changing the Accent Color when using darkmode?


    I've set the Accent color to my personal preference and use darkmode as default windows mode and lightmode as default app mode.However, in the taskbar and windows applications where I use darkmode, my accent color is changed to some lighter shade. How can I stop Windows 11 from doing this as I specifically set my personal preference for the accent color. It does not make any sense for Windows to then change it again.

    Hi, lately I've been experiencing changes I did not make to my color customization settings. I have darkmode selected and my preferred accent color, but about once every one or two weeks I turn onto my PC to find that my PC has reverted to light mode and
    the default accent color. Is there any way to stop this from happening? I don't understand why these settings would suddenly change.

    This is currently a bug.

    I often have to go back to accent colors, select a different color, and select my color again to refresh it to show.

    Content on the above blog is written by a Windows MVP so it is safe. However, do watch out for the ads.

    Windows 11 accent color bug.

    Hi, I encounter a problem when trying to change the accent color in Windows 11, it seems that I cannot use color that is lighter than value 52 or something, if I try to do so then my accent color just automatically drop back to a darker version of it.

    Can anyone find a workaround of this please?
