Windows 10: How to stop WMI activity errors, and could this specific error be linked to my video game...

I started having the game minimizing problems and WMI activity errors on the same day on thanksgiving this year. my game will minimize to home screen every 2-5min, every time it does, I have checked the event viewer and I see the same error at the exact time that the game minimizing. I am on windows 11 and a 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor and OS build 22621.2715. I have tried every article that i can find that claims to fix the minimizing problem but cannot find a fix.

WMI error...

I just installed Vista 64 and I've been having problems (go figure). So at the moment I'm running everything stock and stable. I was searching through the event viewer and found one reoccuring error, a WMI error. Here is the SS:





Any info on how I can correct this or if anyone else has run into this problem, please help me if you can. Thanks!

Hiya, I was having trouble with WMI Provider Host, I googled it and did actually manage to find a thread on here linked below:

That thread's locked now so I wondered if anyone could help me out, my errors list is swarmed but the ClientProcessID in the error isn't anywhere in my Services, and unlike some of the earlier errors I can find, there's no Information file that identifies
where the file is, can anyone help out?

Hmm. Either it's put out errors and WCG is limiting the work units available, or the project list may not be set to supply other WU when one runs out. (if the problem lies here and not on your end)

On the options to your left, if you go into Results Status, select the computer from Device Name and then look through results see if either they were returned late, errors or any other kind of issue that would stop the servers supplying WU from that perspective.

If there are no errors then it's maybe down to your project list. So selecting Device Manager from the left menu and then clicking on the profile assigned to that computer and make sure that it's assigned to receive WU for other projects if they run out.

At least those steps will rule out problems from the WCG end.
