Windows 10: How to swap left and right audio channels

My headset swaps the left and right audio channels. I used Equalizer APO previously but I had to reinstall Realtek due to some issues. When I tried doing the same fix again after reinstalling, it no longer works. Are there any other ways to swap the channels? Why doesn't windows have a built in setting for this? or is there any way to do it through Realtek? Using mono isn't an option for me since I work with sound a lot and need stereo.

Make sure that headset 3.5mm plug is pushed all the way in

Are you sure that you have the headset on the correct way round - I know this sounds like a stupid thing to suggest . .

Windows by default does not allow swapping of left and right channels . . .

What Audio icon do your see in your bottom right System tray, is that realtek or some other sound panel?

What is the exact Make and Model of that headset?

I have a recently installed Win10 on my new computer. I can find no way of discovering which version of Media Player is present - there is no help file. The playback device is a Realtek HD Audio 2nd output.

I wish to listen to a CD (a langage course) where the audio signal is recorded and plays back on the left channel. I have no speakers so I am using head phones. Unfortunately I am just about deaf in my left ear, so I need to swap the left and right channels,
and close down the left one.

I can find no way of doing this.

My media controller under Windows 7 did it fine.

Are you using a different version of Windows? Your instructions do not fit with what I see on my Win 10 screen. See below.

The signal is on the left channel and there is only noise on the right channel. I do not primarily want to adjust the levels, I want to swap the channels left -> right. Closing down the left channel then would be a marginal improvement.
