Windows 10: How to swap letters between disk drives Primary and secondary drive?

Hello. I need some help with my windows and drives. In total I have now 3 drives. C:, B:, and E:. The B: drive is the one I installed today. It is an M.2 4TB SSD. After I installed it, I created a GPT partition which worked fine. I then used AOMEI Backupper, to copy all the files from my primary C: SSD to the new M.2 B: SSD. This was a success aswell. Now my problem is, I want to exchange the letters between B: and C:. So that I can use my M.2. SSD as C: and my primary drive. How can I change the disk drive letters? Disk Management won't let me do that obviously because you can't change th

Optical drive letters keep swapping

Open Disk Management (click Start, type diskmgmt.msc in the Search box, and press Enter).

1. In the lower pane, right-click on your optical drive and select "Change drive letter and paths"
2. Assign Y: to the first optical drive
3. Repeat step 1 for the second optical drive and assign Z:

 

Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

Steps to confirm issue:

• Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
• Secondary drive not visible in device manager
• Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

Steps to replicate issue:

• Installing 1909 update

Steps to resolve issue:

• Uninstall 1909 update

Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

 

help. USB drive isn't assigned a drive letter.

Any usb flash drive I plug into my computer isn't assigned a drive letter. The physical drive shows in the "safely remove hardware" but it doesnt show up in disk management. I have tried to populate the volume thru the safely remove hardware properties window and it does pop up in the list but it doesn't stay there. This isn't a format or assign a letter problem. It's more complicated then that. Maybe one of the services needed for usb drive management was disabled? Suggestions needed. btw external usb harddrives work fine.
