Windows 10: How to switch between two HDMI ports on my secondary computer monitor

I have an HP Alienware laptop with one HDMI port on the back. It is connected via HDMI cable to an HP Pavilion 27c curved monitor that I'm using as a secondary screen. That monitor has two HDMI ports on the back of it. I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max and a lightning to HDMI converter that I plugged onto the second HDMI port on the back of the monitor. How do I switch from my display showing my laptop screen to showing my iPhone screen?

Swap display port and HDMI port ourputs on Windows 10, Dell XPS 8920

Just purchased a new Dell XPS 8920 with Windows 10 that has both a Display port and HDMI port. My new monitor has the HDMI port and my older smaller monitor uses the computers Display port with a conversion cable to DVI on the monitor. How can I swap
monitor 1 (older) with monitor 2 (newer)? Windows lets me move the screens right and left but not swap primary #1 and secondary #2. Thanks for any suggestions; Capt. Brigg

 

Unusual HDMI port behavior: One HDMI port stops working after a monitor is unplugged.

I have 2 HDMI ports, and I can connect two working monitors, and everything works normally and as expected. However, when I unplug the HDMI from one port, and later plug it back in, that HDMI port acts as though it no longer works. The monitor connected
to it no longer receives a signal. If I switch which monitor is connected to which port, the monitor connected to the port that was originally disconnected from the monitor is the monitor that still functions.

The only way I've found to fix the problem is to restart my computer, making sure that both monitors are connected to the HDMI ports before booting up my computer.

I have a Zotac Zbox en1060k, for reference, though I believe this is a software issue.

 

HDMI monitor not comunicating with computer after update for Windows 10

I too woke up this morning with my display non-functioning. I had shut off the monitor before retiring for the night but left the computer on to finish some work by itself. Some time after the computer finished its work the Windows 10 update came in and
rebooted the computer after completing the update. The monitor was off of course and when I turned my monitor back on this morning I had no response and communications from the computer via the HDMI port to the monitor. After reading the many reports in this
forum I switched to the VGA port to regain use of the system and then rebooted with the HDMI activated and everything came up fine with my preferred HDMI port working. Thanks to whomever suggested re-booting as a fix to the issue.
