Windows 10: How to switch from POP to IMAP without losing folders etc?

I am about to set up a new Win 11 computer and it seems like a good opportunity to switch from POP to IMAP since 20+ years of work emails take up a lot of storage space! 1. Is there a way to do this without losing all the files and folders and automations? I already have set up? Or will I need to re-set these up manually and effectively end up with an archive version of those folders from POP on my computer plus a new IMAP version of each one? This is what has put me off doing it before.2. I know I will need to download the .pst file to re-set up regardless of whether I am switching from

Do I really need to make the switch from POP to IMAP as Xfinity has stated? If so, then I may need help making this switch. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!!!

 

Missing IMAP folders

When I was using Windows 8.1, I had all of the IMAP folders from my mail server. When I switched to Windows 10 a lot of these folders are missing. They are on the server, my Iphone and Ipad. When I right click and go to IMAP folders, Query the list, some
folders show up but not all of them. I highlite the ones I want to subscribe to, appy this subscribtion and click OK. None of these folders will subscribe. I have not changed any settings, added any new software. All of these steps worked in Windows 8 and
8.1, but Not in Windows 10. I have deleted the PST and account, reset PST and none of this works, how do I get all of my folders back?

 

Thunderbird: Switch POP to identical IMAP profiles on 2 computers

I have Thunderbird on 2 computers & have a POP profile on both. I want to switch to IMAP & make sure that the profile names are identical on both computers. If I change POP to IMAP on 1 computer first, how do I make sure that the IMAP profile I create on the 2nd computer is identical?
